Lesson Learnt from "Veer Zara"

  • If someone asks you at the death bed to do something, do it without hesitation!
  • Avoid gossip. Wait until you get to know the facts..
  • Don't disable women. Allow them to have the same chance as men, particularly when it comes to education..
  • Even if your parents expect you to get married to a person from your culture, religion etc. sometimes it's just not that what you want. See across national borders and decide to get married to the person who would actually sacrifice his/her life for you, no matter what the person's background is. It might be really difficult to convince your parents, relatives etc. but in the end it's YOUR life..
  • Life is more important than love. You might be in a position in which you might have to make a big sacrifice by rescuing a person's life (health, reputation) and that unfortunately might be more important than getting married to the person you actually love..
  • Original statement "Love is only found in books, poetry. Not in life!" Well, you decide whether it's true or not. But sometimes unfortunately money and power seem to be more important than true feelings. Therefore, never underestimate the value of power and money..
  • Be very careful when declaring your love in front of a person's fiance. It could be that soon you might end up in jail for something you are not guilty at all..
  • Let the person know that you love her/him NOW. Don't wait, otherwise it could be already to late. Someone you get introduced to, might turn out to be the fiance of your beloved person..
  • Call a prisoner by his name not by his number..
  • If in the near future there is an important event in which you play an active role (e.g. you are a lawyer and have your first case in court) then go to the venue beforehand in order to get familiar with the surrounding environment. Take some time to visualise how you expect the day to turn out in order to gain confidence. See yourself winning the case successfully. It might definitely help you on the crucial day..
  • If you are working in law then your goal should be to fight for the truth not just to win..
  • Don't underestimate younger fellows. Even if you are a well-respected and experienced lawyer, sometimes it could be that a younger and less experienced fellow might defeat you.
